What's up, crappiteers?
I have 2 more days of summer idleness, and then Saturday I've got to be at an Adult Ed. workshop at 8 in the morning. School days start Monday.

"Brooding quartet", eh? Nice. I particularly like the fact that Tripping Daisy is called a "disposable buzz band". They were a major thorn in my side at Island (inter-office A&R rivalries and all).

I've met him a couple of times. He's fairly nice for being a self-absorbed band guy.

So we've talked about this a little before, but I'm in the middle of talking to JagJag about doing Home 17 on vinyl.
I approached them, and at first they said "no fucking way. too expensive". But then he wrote me back last night and said "what would you think about vinyl and digital only?"
I'm really into this idea. I think CDs are on their way out. I think most people that listen to Home are music nerds and have turntables, and are comfy with digital music.
But do you think I'm jumping the gun? Are we going to lose out on a lot of casually curious people who are used to CDs?
