I heard him on Terry Gross last month and he seems to be trying hard to rewrite himself as a dylan style troubador.   he kept excusing his 80s stuff as what "he HAD to do to get any radio play".

   Thats the stuff I liked best.

The troubadour thing is just him trying to find a graceful way to get old, methinks. Not like he really speaks for the teenagers hanging outside the Tastee-Freeze anymore.

If he's too old to try and write his own Born to Run anymore, he may as well settle for trying to write his own The Ghost of Tom Joad, right?

(except dan)

Why exactly would you think I would know what this is?

I have no idea what this is.

I recognize the ghastly autotuneriffic song because I am subjected to it at work about seven times a day.

sooo i just found out the bob dylan show tonight starts at 6:00!  it's in orange beach (45 min away) and i get off work at five.  kim doesn't get off until 5:30.  so we got some strings to pull so both of us can leave early today.  (although, i'm hoping that the cougar plays first, then i won't be that upset if we're late)

also, i checked the recent set lists.  other than the encores,  nary a duplicate among them.

PMAs to the strings.

Mellencamp was a guest critic on Ebert and Roeper once.  And he was trying to review some Ryan Gosling movie and all he would say is how good looking RG is.

I was listening to Jack & Diane just now and noticed how bad the electronic handclapping is...VERY unenthusiastic.
