I tried watching True Blood.  It failed a one episode tryout.

True Blood I just didn't care for.  I guess I don't like Alan Ball.  I never really got into 6 Feet Under...maybe just because mortuaries are not to my taste.  But I'm irritated by Ball's dialog.  I'm just so sick of this sassy quipping.

I Heart True Blood. That's my sweet spot for entertaining television: smart people gleefully making genre stuff. As the episodes pile up and it becomes more exuberantly crazy and pulpy, I love it even more.
