Ok, pill-heads, how soon before my first dental appointment in years and years (and years) should I take my pain meds (from my surgery a few months ago)? Like, an hour before? Half hour? I can't remember how long it took for this stuff to kick in... Gah.

It's Tramacet, and not nearly as good as perks, but along those lines...

Are you afraid of all the scraping?? Take it an hour before to make sure you're good and looped up.

Thanks, guys. I'm not really afraid. More like, it's been a very very long time (and now I'm finally eligible for coverage at work -- well 80%), and starting to get sensitivity in my teeth and gums, so... just thought I'd get rid of the pain in advance.
