speaking of band names,  the neil young tribute band that we are doing is now called  Purple Words.  (from "cowgirl in the sand".....purple words on a gray background, to be a woman and to be turned down)  the band is now me (guitar/vocals), terry johnson of this bike is a pipe bomb (bass/vocals), shane langseth of he just kicks good and acorns (lead guitar/vocals)  crystal i don't know her last name. oops. (miked wine glasses filled with water  and 'tuned' appropriately- to simulate feedback) and brandon warren of you win instantly! (drums).  our first practice is tonight.  the "all girl" thing didn't work out, so i don't have to (get to) wear a dress, and Cinnamon Girls didn't seem appropriate anymore.  we're supposed to do a four song set.  we've settled on "revolution blues", "cortez the killer" and close with "hey hey my my" which will feature members of the devo cover band that is following us (includes bob "thatguy" cross) filling in one by one until everyone's on stage.  we're gonna rock it out a la <a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/8iGfiJj0a-E" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/8iGfiJj0a-E</a>.  we need one more song -we'll settle on tonight.  any requests/suggestions?

i actually thought about that one. my hesitation is that the riff is so similar to "hey hey my my".    but sure,  fuffalo springfield, csny, etc.  can be included, so long as neil wrote/sings.  if someone disagrees, i'll point out that mr. soul was also featured on trans, so it still is a candidate.
