first day of shooting down. it was a 12 hour day for 3 scenes. whew. this is definitely going to be quite the experience. i'm already loving it, though. here's a shot from one of the scenes. i look like a fatty in this one, but whatevs- you get the point. this is before i get my glam on in later scenes. the makeup is so fun omgomgomg.

Yeah, Aldrin and Armstrong didn't stay long out during that first moon landing.  Apollo 17 stayed out almost 24 hours, and they covered a lot more terrain thanks to the lunar rover.  If you wanna read about that, A Man On The Moon, by Andrew Chaikin, is a good book.

I dreamt last night that I was in a r'n'r band and that I had just thought of a great name for the band, a really cool, easy to remember moniker.  Everyone in the band thought it was really clever.  And I remember the name too. 

It was Noudini, as in Houdini, but, you know, nude.

The BBC's "Omnibus" series documented the Apollo 11 space mission in a programme entitled "What If It's Just Green Cheese?". Pink Floyd performed live in the studio, providing suitably spacey music throughout the programme. Collector have had audio tapes of this for several years and refer to the music as "Moonhead". The band claim they improvised the entire six-minute instrumental from scratch.

A live Tv recording session for the one-hour BBC1 TV Omnibus special entitled " So what if its just green cheese", one of many programmes covering the Apollo 11 moon landing. It was broadcast on 20.7.69 at 10.00pm and featured Judi Dench, Ian McKellen, Michael Horden, Roy Dotrice, Marian Montgomery, Dudley Moore and the Dudley Moore Trio. Pink loyd performed a 5-minute improvisation which has become known as "Moonhead"
