Ok, so I haven't written out the whole annoying, overly-detailed trip-tale yet, so won't bore you with a bunch of pix out of context, but this one's pretty self-explanatory: Pogo! in Toronto last Friday. (We're now in week 3 of the municipal strike, btw. Luckily, no heatwave like the last garbage strike, but it's gonna get pretty rodenty out there, soon enough, I reckon.)

I guess it goes without saying that Metro does
not
recycle at the moment.
(That's in Kensington Market, btw.)

Hope all have nice nights.

Unlike Iran, the words emanating from the White House regarding Honduras have been remarkably soft. Unlike Iran, the U.S. actually has a military base inside Honduras. Unlike Iran, the U.S. is Honduras' chief trading partner. Unlike Iran, the generals who carried out the coup were trained at the infamous School of the Americas.Unlike Iran, the coup plotters were in contact with the U.S. administration not long before the violent overthrow of the elected leader. Unlike the leadership of Iran, Zelaya was once a dependable business-minded conservative whose recent moves (60% increase in minimum wages, a moratorium on new mining contracts - this certainly pissed off the Harper government here - Canada has a lot of money in Honduran resources) in the direction of the Bolivarian left, have angered the elites there and in the economic north (Honduras itself is at the very bottom of the economic north along with Haiti).
