Great. I get to work at 8am only to find that a perfectly acceptable joke has been murdered before I can log in to Crappity. Oh, the humanity!

Hopefully, this will be a painless day. Heather has the day off and is shopping for food and party stuff - it looks like our casual barbecue is going to be about 30 people. I'm mostly excited to watch movies with the new video projector. I've been so busy since it arrived on Wednesday that I haven't been able to watch any of my favorite big-screen classics. But I did watch "Head" last night, which was pretty fucking cool projected 8 feet tall on my living room wall...

You know what? I have frequented other forums (mostly places dedicated to music gear and politics), and I can tell you that our little corner of the web is special: no bigots, and no pointless bickering with ignorant idiots.  Posting here is a relief, a vacation from all the stupidity.

us too....  probably more people than i had hoped...but alas.  they probably have better drugs than i do.

In other contact lenses news, Pogo! managed to rip one of his yesterday and was making himself dizzy walking around with just one in (and/or maybe hangover), so ended up wearing his specs all day. He got his doc to fax the prescription to my friend's store, so today we'll see if we can get it filled.

Otherwise, the trip is coming along splendidly. Lots of "napping" (duh) (and  breakin2 ) (and  wacka wacka wacka! ) and general carrying on. You'll get the usual overly-detailed report latah.

I'm trying to think of something fun to celebrate July 4 (not that Ryan cares, the way I don't care about Canada Day). I know there are some Yanks in this city...gotta be a big out-of-control party somewhere. Probably just end up making our own fun. Take that whatever way you want.
