Books, videos, music... Heather and I merged our collections long long ago.
A couple of specific notes about your two records of contention (just because I have record collector geek genes, I guess):
- The Disney Nutcracker record sounds weird because it was mixed for "Fantasound", the very first "surround sound". The original (road show) version of Fantasia was actually the very first movie to attempt a surround effect, before many movie soundtracks went stereo. The translation to vinyl didn't quite work, though.
- The first pressing of 'Sister' had the Avedon picture on the front cover and the Disney picture on the back cover. Both shots were deleted soon after. If you're looking at a first pressing, I'd pull a switcheroo...
Just sayin'
(Funny that both records have Disney connections ... I think I need a Disney fix ...)

Could never decide if they were being intentionally trippy or if they had some synch problem that they just couldnt fix. well shit, now I want a contraption that can play fantasound to put in my den. |
