I can vouch for the coolness of Ubuntu. I've been running Ubuntu in parallel mode on my intel MacBook for a couple of weeks (to be able to run some pesky windows programs that won't run in OS X). It's clean and easy.

I know shit all about Macs, but I believe there are a number of Linux distros that are said to be faster on older Macs.
Ubuntu Linux is the hot shit right now, But I don't know a thing about it.
 disappointing answer, had i just coughed up some money on the "ask jeff!" site. (although, admittedly much better answer than i could give, and i'm on an emac right now.) |
