This new batch of shrimp is a bit debilitating. It seriously knocks me on my ass, and makes me want to play video games non-stop til 3 in the a.m..

if it were up to me,  my top priorities would be...  (no particular order)

at least those are the obvious ones.    i kinda dug the novelty of matt & kim when they used to play sluggos, but there's no novelty anymore.  every fucking band sounds like matt & kim and it's a pretty annoying sound anyway.  there's probably a few amazing bands on there that i haven't heard, but i would take my chances that i would catch em in between the above mentioned.  the flaming lips set really excites me because they're taking requests...  when a bootleg surfaces of that,  jeff knows what to do...

Outside of the obvious ones, I dig Beirut.   Never seen em live, but the recordings are killah.

Was about to post my list and realized it was the exact same. (Makes mental note reminding self to listen to everything Pat recommends ever.)

The National have a reputation for stealing the show. I definitely wouldn't miss them. They came through here on several tours with hotshit indie bands as opening bands before Boxer hit and every review said the same thing: "The wrong band was headlining."

The Mae Shi are my absolute most favorite band in LA right now, bar none.

Their 5RC records with their former lead singer Ezra are OK, but the current lineup (live and in the studio) for their most recent album HLLLYH is stunning.

I've seen them live many many times here. They have never disappointed.

awesome thread title.     the boys woke me up at 9 already in "we're bored.. what can we do??"

so I assigned them the task of writing THE summer jam of 2009.    So Eli's working up some words and aaron is working through the beats on this Radio Shack kids-DJ machine.

Mort was 3X more appreciated than Dan.

Yeah, and he only has a few posts!  Familiarity does breed contempt.

We originally had you slated at 35 pages, but had to dock you a page for every 10,000 jokes you've murdered.
