Having finally heard the new Circulatory System record in its proper order (my mp3 player plays alphabetically), I'm gonna have to give it a major stony thumbs up  Band 1 DJ

I just replaced my iBook G4 with a MacBook. So happy. FYI, Parallels is part of the $50 bundle at Macupdate this week.

Thanks for the heads up, but... I don't use windows or linux.

I only use windoze to decode the HD mkw files that I dl so I can watch them on my TV. So far, there's no osx solution that doesn't involve a re-encode.

what about Lindows?

Does it combine the security and stability of windows with the user-friendliness of linux?

I had to google "mkw files" to know what you were talking about.  whistle

Back when I had a PC, I knew how to pretty much fix and replace almost everything on it.  I knew enough to be able to assemble a PC from parts, and install everything I needed.   I had to, as my fucking PC was constantly on the fritz.

I lost all that since I switched to macs.  In five years, I've never had a single problem.  If my laptop goes kabloyee, I'm fucked.   I won't even know where to start, I'll have to go get help.

And if I had been proofing my own post, I would have typed "mkv" instead. Google away...

By the way, I finally saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button a couple weekends ago. Nicely done and all, but I couldn't shake the feeling that it was basically just Forrest Gump for people who don't move their lips when they read.

Yeah, that was sort of my take in the other thread...except more gentle.
