you need to stay off of it completely, put some kind of ice pack on it (a pack of frozen peas works great)
and elevate your foot, like, over your head.. Lay back on a sofa and prop your foot up on some cushions or something..
actually it's R.I.C.E. rest, ice, compress, elevation.
and you should do this now before you're gonna be doing a lot of walking on it, making it worse.
