I know this is a crappy way to start a topic, but I'm standing in line waiting to buy Guillermo del Toro's new Vampire novel, Strain. If anyone is awake and wants a copy signed to them, lemme know in the next 45 minutes or so...

(I'll post more substantial stuff about the book once I read it)

Sorry for the last-minute offer. I imagine that everyone here was asleep when I posted. I'll try to give a better heads-up next time.

As for the signing... it was scheduled to run from midnight to 2:30 a.m.  I was out seeing a band, so I actually got there at midnight on the dot. The place was full with press (mostly), and the line stretched down the block. I was told that he was going to stay until every book was signed, and that he was being very generous with his time, so it might take a while. At about 2:45, I finally made it up to his table. His first words to me were, "Hi. Thanks for coming! I like your shirt. Who did it?" Super cool guy. I hope the book turns out to be fun...

Cool!  I really digged El laberinto del fauno.  I'm looking forward to his take on Tolkien.

That's a Grifters' t-shirt, eh?

I don't have one.
