I'm a week behind on Lost.  Haven't watched the 100th episode yet.

I thought it was funny that Hurley was rewriting Empire Strikes Back...with a few improvements.

Out shooting pool last night I ran into Pat Carney.  If I'd had a Dragoon CD with me, I would've given it to him.

The folks at SharperFX were clearly inspired by the old James Bond special edition DVDs. Salvation through retinal brutality.

I'm with you that it would be unsatisfying, but I don't think it would be lazy on par with Dallas.     They're jumping through some pretty intricate plotting to have it make sense... if in fact that is whats in store.

but yeah, I hope thats not whats next.     and Freckles is with me on that.

it's just starting to seem like  "uh oh.  we've got one season left.  and A WHOLE LOT of questions to answer... I KNOW!  let's just start figuring out a way for the whole thing to be an illusion.  that way, we don't really have to explain shit!  it'll be like vanilla sky,  but DIFFERENT!!"   (high fives all around)

i'm with you though.  holding out hope that kate's refusal to go along with it makes it interesting. (as does her joining sawyer and juliet on the submarine.... wacka wacka wacka!)

totally.  and meanwhile, sharperFX is TOTALLY cashing in on the battle...."oh yeah.   we can make YOUR site WAAAAYY  more intense than that other one.  after all, we BUILT it.  lemme call my composer.  we need a new score.  this time, with  a feeling of imminent destruction!"

one more season after next weeks finale.  i would just netflix the whole thing once it's done.   i tell you what though.  it's gonna piss me off if they somehow manage to turn it into a "then you woke up" scenario where the whole frickin thing never really happened. very lazy writing, if you ask me.  which is where it's headed if dead faraday is right. i hate that shit.

That's my biggest beef with a lot of TV series right there: they start with a concept, an idea, and then they have to milk it for as long as possible, often going way beyond what makes sense.  The producers and writers want to keep the show "entertaining", so characters end up doing things that aren't psychologically plausible for the sake of creating "drama" and keeping the show moving along.

I think it makes a lot more sense to write a limited number of episodes well in advance, and then run the show for a set amount of time, instead of writing as the show is running, without knowing well in advance where things are going.
