lakers just played shitty team ball tonight.  kobe sat too long in the 4th. again, walton showed why he needs to be on the bench down the stretch.  bad shots, stupid fouls.

there will be blood.

so jones tripping kobe is reviewed, and is called a flagrant 1.  (2 free throws and the ball,  had it been called. a potential 5 point swing)  meanwhile bynum's fragrant on anderson is reviewed and downgraded to a regular foul.  (nuggets got the ball back because of the flagrant. again, a potential 3 point swing)   that's 8 points in a stretch of the game where the lakers had whittled it down to to a two possession game with plenty of time. in this series, momentum is EVERYTHING.    by the ref's own admission, they fucked up AT LEAST twice. therefore, complaints were justified.  phil complains about the refs and is fined $25,000.  TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND!!!!!  and so is the TEAM!  that's FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!  FOR STATING THE OBVIOUS!!!   what the fuck.

I don't recognize these Cavaliers. Their confidence and swagger is gone. Where is the team with great chemistry who love playing together?

No one is helping LeBron. It's like the Cavs of past years. Everyone stands around waiting for the King to do something. Now he's forcing it trying to do too much, turning the ball over.

Frankly Orlando looks like the better team right now.

a 3-2 series is a completely different beast.  although,  i'm starting to think moetown might be right.  orlando v. denver.

I've been saying ever since the Mavs - Thuggets series that Denver would win the west. They have a bench, and role players, something all playoff teams need. And they play D like a mofo. I heard an interesting story on the Birdman on the radio a few weeks ago. His family lived in a shack and killed snakes for food, the guy may be a weirdo but I admire his heart (at least on the court, you shouldn't do yo mama like that). Pretty interesting stuff:

Never saw the Orlando thing coming though. Despite liking the individual games of Kobe and Lebron, it's nice to see things unravel differently than the NBA brass had planned.

Melo seems to be coming into his own without AI.  What a shitty trade by the Pistons.  Billups was the heart and soul of that team and now everyone can see what he can bring to a team and Detroit are crap without him.

Congrats to the Lakers.

Send some PMAs to my Cavaliers for game 6.

i'm pulling for you for sure.  if for no other reason, it'll give us a couple extra days to let some bruises heal.  plus the dudes can take a day off and take the kids to the beach or something.

(although....home court advantage sounds pretty good right now...)

(thats for mo williams.  if he gets 20+, you win.    lebron's gonna get his.)

Thanks for the PMAs.  I will root for the Lakers now.  Last crappity team standing.  I want Shaq to find out how Kobe's ass tastes.

The Cavs cried for Mo to be an All-Star.  Mo cried to be an All-Star.  David Stern made it so.  But Mo did not play like it in the Playoffs.

It's a bummer because it's obvious now the Cavs need more players.  LeBron averages 38/8/8 for the series and it's not enough.  No help.

Cleveland needs a big man.  Z and Big Ben are fading fast.

And they need a guy like Ariza...a tall athletic wing who can defend and shoot.  Hell, I'd take Luke Walton over Wally World and Pavlovic.

I was curious to see how the Cavaliers stacked up against the Lakers.  I think it would've been a fun series...but it seems the result would've been worse for Cleveland.

Orlando is dangerous, but the Lakers can take them.

home court will help.  especially with the 2-3-2 format.  only one trip,  and try to steal one of three while there.  but orlando looked pretty scary against you guys.  we'll see.

and remember, it took jordan like 7 years or something to even GET there.  they had to build that team.  and lebron is STILL younger than jordan when he entered, right?  as long as y'all can keep him,  he'll bring home some rings.
