The Owners Manual for the Human Mind

Published 59 years ago today. Though I first remember it from this ad:
http://www.youtube.com/v/LmFXfQbZRII
I like the part where the lady says "Now I feel great about myself" and it is immediately followed by a loud explosion and ominous music.

Notice how the phony new member requests went away? Moving all of the download links was the way to go, I think.

because I have an old friend here in town who's been trying to reconnect. I think mainly because he wants to share his excitement about the new Star Trek movie with an old goober friend (me)

Why don't you want to "reconnect", Tripp? I think that's the key. If it's just because he's a mild bore, pff, maybe it's worth it to put up with him. But if it's because he's a complete idiot, someone you have decided you don't like, well, screw him.

hey sav, when is your next play?
i figure i drive all over hell's half acre following bands and music, i ought to check oot one of your plays
you know how i tell you peeps things before i really tell anyone else...
me and some other people got laid off of pfork, all of the backstage managers/artist hospitality, 3, including me plus others. been told there might be another position but not likely...i can get free tix though but i think i would be sad not being part of it and watching my friends work. i really get a charge making music happen...it kind of knocked me down because working that makes my heart beat but i guess i will have to find something else to get charged aboot
oh well that is off my big ass chest

take the free tickets...check out the bands you like, and maybe offer to volunteer on a few of the other sets, especially if you have friends there. if they don't want the free, experienced help....fuck em. enjoy the show.
