I think having multiple smaller occasions relating to the marriage is definitely the way to go. You end up defusing the stress and formality of the whole thing and making the fun easier to share.

just got back a little while ago.  we tried a different route home.. it was about the same time/distance as going down 55..

pretty beat.. and stuffed.. Pat fed us like kings this weekend.  SERIOUSLY.. probably the best seafood dinner I've ever had. I know Stan and Bobby agree..

too much fun to go on about right now.. just popped open a beer and gonna have some shrimp and watch the Galactica finale..  I'm off tomorrow. WOO HOO!!

Your cuisine reigns supreme, Pat.

secret for perfect fish breading everytime...

first of all make an eggwash. (about a cup and a half of milk and one egg.  whipped.)

put yr fish in that.  make sure its coated.
then take  some zatarain's  crispy southern fish fry and make a mixture of that and all-purpose flour (about half and half. it's WAY too cornmeal-y by itself) THEN sprinkle in about a tablespoon of mccormick seasoned pepper blend (ground black and whitepeppercorn with dried bell pepper flakes and coriander, i think).  mix it all up and toss the eggwashed fish in it.  fry until golden brown...... if you can't get fresh grouper cheeks, try it with cod or halibut or whatever they have in your local market. mmmm mmmm.
