thanks y'all so much.   you guys are some pretty top notch loving people. 

and once again I ask, do crappity PMAs ever fail?    things went really really well.    not to be pollyannaish, obviously theres going to be plenty of hard questions and tough days as things progress, but as far as the initial bomb drop, I couldn't have asked for much more.

My boys are such fucking awesome people, I actually got the sense that they were trying to make me feel better through the whole thing.    They listened to the whole schpiel, looked at each other and nodded and just started talking about all the good things.     

"so stacey will be like an extra mommy and phil and extra daddy? yay!   we're going to have two houses?  yay!   we're getting two cats and a dog out of this deal?! super fucking yay!"

J___ and I both had so many friends and family telling us that it was weird and wrong to expose the boys to stacey and phil, but I have to say, I think it was weirdly the exact right thing to do.   Not only did it take away the fear factor  (thank god that the boys get along with both of them) but I think they could see how much happier and more relaxed we were when we were with our new loves, that on some level the dudes were just like "uh yeah.. this is what youre supposed to be doing"

anyway, thanks for letting me soak up everyone's pmas for the day.   I feel like a huge weight is off my shoulders right now.    More than any other step in this somewhat grueling process, this one has made me feel ok about finding a new happy era for myself.   Because, what the fuck, we're getting two cats and dog, y'all!!

They were just on a CBC news/interview program (that I'm too tired/lazy to find a link for) talking about their love of Rush (well, Rudd was the big fan, and turned Segel onto them). Anyway, cute fan boy stuff.
