Ever heard of Wim Delvoye?  He's a Belgian conceptual artists.  Maybe Pat has heard of him.  One of his projects is a machine that makes shit.  Like, you feed the machine food, and, after some processing in a number of tanks that simulate digestion, shit comes out from the machine.  He has built several of these things, in fact.   Here's the web page: http://www.cloaca.be/

oh yeah.  the shit guy.  i probably couldn't have told you his name without a thinking about it for a little while, but yeah.  big hullabaloo a couple years ago about the definition of "art" (same hullabaloo that gets repeated every few years) because of this guy. it only makes sense though.  one of the first experiences that brings great pride to a child is making a poo poo.   we try our whole lives to recreate that feeling.
