I congratulate you on surviving 2008, and I hope that 2009 will be a much better year, not only for you, personally, but for the entire world.
Now lets all get together and sing Kum Ba Yah!

I had weird dreams with the Crappitteers in them. Me and Tripp were busking in Miami and whenever the crowds would thin out, he'd play "lost" Grifters songs. Then Pat came and we got high inside the federal building. Another one had Eric and Dan taking the train into my 'burb with their kids for a summer fest. We all had pizza then made fun of how lousy it was. There were more but those are all I remember.

hunh. cool-weird.
HAPPY NEW YEAR and HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAPPY!!
our party was a big success as usual. Except for it being below freezing outside. S____ prepared Italian dishes and appetizers and I have to say it was the best snack table we've ever had. I'm STILL enjoying it!
I know Chad and Kimmy had a maybe less than stellar evening.. Kimmy's ceiling caved in or something.. I'll let them tell the story.
It was also a strange evening in that our own Stanley G. skipped the proceedings on account of he had a date..! And he and said date stopped by the party after everyone had left at about 3:30 am.. (btw the date was a lovely girl we all know and love and we've all had 'that feeling' about them.. so we'll see)
the rest of the G'mores were at the party though. But I think Noyel's girlfriend broke up with him over the phone while he was here. So I don't think he had a great time..
Other than that it was good times all around. I think S____ said we had 40 people this year (usually it's a little more)
Now I'm eating prosciuto (sp?) and vodka pasta, waiting for S___ to get up so we can have our New year's Day traditional Bloody marys and watching Casablanca. I recommend this tradition to everyone..

We watched My Winnipeg last night. I'm not sure if it was clever or if it was just enhanced by sweethearts, but I really liked it.

HBO showed all of Summer Heights High. That shit was funny! Again, don't know what it would've been like w/o the sweetheart effect.
Oh yeah, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

my left shoulder is in such extreme pain.. should've taken it easier yesterday but I had to sweep the back porch which actually does take a while. so that wore my shoulder out as little more.
So I took 2 xanax, some ibuprofrens and am having a beer... and some shrimp.

I never look for the stuff, but it seems like every 3 or 4 months one of our twenty-something party friends will show up and give us little treats. We store them in the fridge until the time is just right. We've been real fortunate in that regard. It's fun to trip around the house every 6 months or so.

We tried to cook eggs last night, but one of us would say something silly and then we'd both end up on the floor crying with laughter. Then it would pass and we'd get up and try again. I don't think I've ever had that much fun making toast and eggs.

At 3:00 I finally took a clonazepam and a couple of Advil PMs and slept til 1:00. Now I'm drinking beer and chowing down on some shrimp.
Sorry about your shoulder. That sucks.

Sounds like folks had a nice time last night...
Pogo! and I got drunk. Duh. He was watching L.S.U. game, while I was making cookies with T______, which he loved. We played Rock Band till midnight (Ryan let T________ stay up till then). And then we got drunker.
At one point we were listening to music in Ryan's room, on his computer...and Grifters rocked it so hard. one of the computer speakers fell off the shelf (along with some other stuff on that shelf). That's about the extent of our NYE excitement.
We made mimosas, then had some fried shit and beer at Hooter's today for "brunch." (Yep.) And, despite code/non-code napping, I still feel like I'm gonna barf. Fun times.
I think I need to get horizontal again till the next phase of drinking. Supposedly we may be going out later with some friend of Ryan's from Louisiana who is in town... we'll see....
