I hope they take that 'journalist' who attacked our President out back.. If you haven't heard, Bush was part of an impromptu press conference doing some lame duck stuff with the Iraqi President when some douchebag reporter from Iraq threw both his shoes, full force, at our President's head...he ducked both times. Like most of you know, I am the farthest thing from a fan of George W. Bush as you will find. I campaigned for John Kerry and campaigned for Barack Obama and I feel that George W. Bush is the worst President is U.S. history. But he is still our President and NO ONE has the right to physically confront the leader of nation that way. I hope they take that guy out back and show him a thing or two about manners before turning him over to Iraqi authorities where I hope he's convicted to the fullest extent of the law. There is protest and there is violence. This man didn't stand up and shout about Bush's offenses and give him a verbal dressing down. No. He chose to do, on a smaller scale, what barbarians and thugs and animals and terrorists have been doing for thousands of years...physically attacking the source of his ideological displeasure. You wanna call Bush a 'bitch'...be my guest, I'll be right behind you...you want to plot to do physical harm to the President of the United States and I'll take you out myself. It's not a precedent that will be set. That's how they handle business in bullshyt, unstable countries. Not here. In America, we PEACEFULLY throw our politicians out. [AFTER someone asked if he would do the same thing for Hitler] We've ALREADY made the change here in America. In a month, we have a new President with a new vision. We are not neanderthals and we don't grunt and go 'UGH' while crushing the skull of our enemies here in civilized societies. This guy deserves to rot in jail for attempting to attack an American President...period. I don't feel sorry for him. He may be a decent guy but his policies set this country and this planet back pretty far and MANY people died as a result of his missteps...the missteps that he kept on misstepping because he was too weakminded and stubborn to change course. But, again, no one has the right to take it upon themselves...with shoes or with bullets or with a dirty bomb...to try and take him out. The laws of every civilized nation on the planet disagrees. Murder is murder but murdering certain people destabilizes the fabric of society on the whole. Absolutely. Or even if you don't respect the office, don't ATTACK it. What happens when Obama doesn't pull the troops out of Iraq fast enough, would he deserve a bullet??? These people on this thread are nuts. If you assault the President of MY country, you deserve what you get. I'm all for an example being made of this guy.
