Man, you're up early.  So, what is the difference between Michael Jackson and John Glenn?

My banana is a better dancer than your MC Hammer guy.

Whereas one was the first man to walk on the moon, the other can't stop fucking little boys.

Or wait, that's Neil Armstrong.

Then maybe something about... nah, nevermind.

New to the ftp: the Replacements - Shit, Shower, and Shave; the Replacements - The Shit Hits the Fans; the Decemberists - Live in San Francisco, 10-7-03.

On their way right this second: Decemberists - Live in Seattle, 8-29-03; The Pixies - Live in Minneapolis, 4-13-04 (First Show Back).

we are always yammering aboot what bands we like and which CD is good and how do we rip and upload and transfer, but the true nerds are down in the pits:

Each point on the waveform is in a single, 16-bit sample. The 32 bits (one
sample for each of the two channels) in appropriate order are the digital
representation of the amplitude. Pulse-code modulation means that the
sample is represented as such a value - or such a pair for two channels.

The difference between the stream and the WAV is only the ordering of the
32 bits making up the pair of samples.

I'm actually a huge believer in the dbPowerAMP products. They're all free, they can convert anything to anything, and the player/music collection organizer puts iTunes, etc. to shame.
