Each point on the waveform is in a single, 16-bit sample. The 32 bits (one
sample for each of the two channels) in appropriate order are the digital
representation of the amplitude. Pulse-code modulation means that the
sample is represented as such a value - or such a pair for two channels.

The difference between the stream and the WAV is only the ordering of the
32 bits making up the pair of samples.

I'm actually a huge believer in the dbPowerAMP products. They're all free, they can convert anything to anything, and the player/music collection organizer puts iTunes, etc. to shame.
