Hey Karen, did you hear about Harper's latest dirty trick?

Flaherty to axe subsidies to political parties in fiscal update: sources

Quote
The Conservatives are poised to eliminate the public subsidies that Canada's five major political parties receive, a move that would save $30 million a year but could cripple the opposition.

It's despicable!  I wouldn't pee down Harper's throat if his heart was on fire.

He's an evil, evil m/android. I would consider peeing down his throat, if only so that he'd choke on it (before his "heart" went up in flames). I'm not exactly a Liberal party supporter, but deliberately trying to bankrupt them this way is indeed despicable. Hate Harper!

There's not much I can do (besides sending money to the NPD), but I'm writing the bastards.

Here's my message:

"Dear sir,

I oppose your subsidy cut.  I consider it to be a strictly partisan move conceived to hurt opposition parties.  Furthermore, I believe that taking away this subsidy will damage canadian democracy, as it will further aggravate the influence that moneyed interests have on Canadian politics. Canada's democracy should not be an opt-in, user-fee system.

Sincerely,

Daniel Rosa, in Montreal"

My headache's almost gone. Why do I hate Thanksgiving so much? Why do I hate spending time with my family? They're perfectly nice people. I'm not sure, but I think I might have me some of those "psychological problems."

Why don't you open a recipe book and follow the directions?  You might enjoy the results.

John Updike wins special bad sex in fiction prize but not this year's award

This reminds of a quote: when a journalist asked Austrian writer Thomas Bernhard why there wasn't any talk of sex in his books, he replied "everyone has a sex life, even insects".

happy thanksgiving to all and belated birthdays to everyone i missed, tripp, tripp's lady and chad and anyone else.  those are the only ones i saw on a quick lurk

i have absolutely nothing to say.  havent listened to music for over a month so im not up on that knowledge, or much of anything else.  after cat scan, mri, colonoscopy and a myriad of blood tests still dont know what is wrong with my stomach and why i have high white blood count.  im on 3 different meds that make me sleep all the time.  i have a high tolerance for drugs Smiley  they had to give me a boatload of demerol and something with a v to knock me oot for the colonoscopy, i actually felt the first part and was yelling so they had to give me more.  i asked the nurse afterwards.  the worst part the music that was on before i finally was oot was Pink's, Get your party started

oh yeah, it's monday and im getting reamed in the ass, lets get the party started

im not going anywhere near a mall, or store tommorow, and im glad i dont live near any either, some nutcase in town has been camping oot at the best buy since yesterday and it's aboot 20 degrees oot at night

miss you all and take care and hoping stan is feeling better

Thanks for the drive-by, Kim. I hope you are feeling better, and they figure out what's wrong with your stomach. Rough times...
