I spent some time earlier being hungover. Pretty much it for my plans.

Went out with the gals last night to one of my locals. Four pints in on an empty stomach, I was thinking it was time to call it quits. Josey was one pint ahead of me, and at one point vomited a little in her mouth -- ONLY SOME OF IT CAME DRIBBLING OVER HER LIPS AND CHIN(!!!), which was gross (and hilarious!), so I knew it was time to call it quits. We poured her into a cab (headed in the direction of another bar, where she was meeting her husband...oy!), and I stupidly drank wine when I got home. Oops.

Anyway, quite the write-off today. This evening, two of the guitar repair dudes who used to work with my roomie are having the grand opening of their new shop, so basically gonna go hang out and drink with rock dudes. Yay!

Weakened state of mind.

The power went out in the midst of typing another post (which was boring anyway), so I give up.

Here's a photo, instead, of Ryan taking a call in a mattress shop. I was trying to make this trip as fun as the car dealership trip in Memphis. Wink

And, finally, in lieu of posting photos of my own non-existent children, here's a tableaux of someone else's. This is me indulging Tillman's sweet tooth at the Marble Slab Creamery. Who wants ice cream?!!??!??!

(Is this child not a-dorable?!)

You should probably ease off some if you had to replace the mattress part way through your visit.

I went out and hung flyers for the next dragoon show (nov 29 @ Murphy's) then S___ bought me my other bday present. An external drive for my computer so I can store all our mixes for the songs on the record.
Last night at band practice we got our studio up and rolling finally.
Stan skipped practice because his hearing problems have resurfaced some. the constant ringing is back. So he took the night off. I invited our old friend Andy Saunders to come out and help us figure out our new protools/mbox set up. I was pleased to see that he was as perplexed as i was by some of it. So... I'm not a total idiot. But together we got it all sussed out and now Dragoon has a 32-track recording studio on our hands!
btw, Andy was the drummer in the Villains for a awhile and he plays with Shabbadoo, he used to be in Delorean.
And Jared came by practice and he and I and Bobby jammed all night. I got to play drums for a change. Good times.  Sabammah came by for a bit and we tried to turn her into a lead singer.

But yeah, hopefully over the course of the next year dragoon is gonna evolve into something new. AND we're gonna help Jared out with his dream project: Stiverspace. Or as I'm calling it: The Total Strangers Orchestra. So thats on the horizon as well.

it's so exciting!

Sounds fun, Tripp. Too bad about Stan, though. Wish him well:  mind atom

The text I got from Savannah said she was hanging with the gays last night. Huh.
