Obama excluded extra-terrestrials in his acceptance speech.

Extra testicles?

Quick story about this election... So yesterday, I had to go by the warehouse to pick some stuff up. And Sharon, the receiving lady (who is black) asks me:

"So did you vote today?"
"Yup." I noticed she had an "I Voted!" sticker on. "Who'd you vote for?"
"McCain."
I must've recoiled visibly. She grinned and gave me a wink.
"Who'd you vote for?"
"Obama," I said. "I can't help it, I just hate America SO MUCH!"
"Terrorist," she said.

Then she gave me a fist bump. It was one of the funner parts of my day. My parents always raised me to keep who I voted for to myself, for politeness' sake. But all day long, people kept starting conversations with me about having voted for Obama. Even an old Greek diner guy showed me a pic on his camera that someone had made that made Sarah Palin look like she was fellating a microphone. It was more sexist than funny, but I was tickled anyway--even rich old Greek bastards were voting for Obama.

In other words, although we've successfully legally declared you as beneath us, hope there's no hard feelings!

well, Tennessee went for McCain, as expected, but Shelby County went for Obama 64 to 36.

One of the best things about yesterday was seeing all the young, black kids voting.  There were at least two groups of 4 or 5 girls, all about 19 or 20, in line with their Obama shirts on, looking excited to be there!  There was a grandfather standing by his truck outside near where I started in line, who was just waiting on his granddaughter to vote.  He had voted early to avoid the crowds, but she asked him to take her and he couldn't refuse.  And, yeah, when I was leaving, there was a thuggish dude, about 20-22, wearing a Scarface Tshirt, with squinty, red eyes, no less, waiting in line to vote.  I know that doesn't seem remarkable, except for the fact that in the 19 years I've been voting, I have never seen any such thing.  It was really pretty cool.

I was born in a red state. And I grew up in a red state. I'll prob'ly die in the same red state, and that's prob'ly where they'll bury me.
