Not sure if I could make my list yet, but I did one a few years ago.
I will have to think on it to see how much it's changed.

You have a magical turntable/CD player that runs on solar energy and never breaks down.

- Elvis Presley -
The Sun Sessions
- Beach Boys -
Pet Sounds
- Grifters -
Crappin' You Negative
- Al Green -
Greatest Hits
- Johnny Cash -
American Recordings
That's not a perfect list, though. I really wanted to put
Love Supreme
on there, because if I had to pore over one piece of music forever, it seems like a fine candidate. But if I added that, I'd probably have to lose Al Green. No soul music? Only if no one's planning on having any sex on this island.
And yeah, I left off the Beatles. But like all good people I have every single song they ever wrote committed to memory and playing in an infinite loop in a part of my soul that will never ever die. Words flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup, you know what I mean?
For a long time,
Slanted & Enchanted
was on there and I am surprised to see it doesn't bother me at all to leave it off anymore.
Bee Thousand
still got an honorable mention, though. Ditto
Third/Sister Lovers
. Either might be on the list if I redid this tomorrow.

fuck daydream nation and sonic nurse, murray street are inserted inside the crappin, grace and bends because fbp was too high to put them up correctly at home before she boarded the boat. so 2 albums in 3 records!

I think we'll all agree that Crappin You Negative is one of the greatest albums of all time.
Grifters - Crappin You Negative
Love - Forever Changes
Beethoven 9
Pavement - Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain
Pere Ubu - The Modern Dance
I'd probably be sorry I didn't bring Pet Sounds...

after listening to some music this weekend, and since it was just a terror warning aboot the flood and having to go the island im editing my picks
crappin you negative - grifters
grace - jeff buckley
are you experienced - jimi hendrix
the who - who's next
television - marquis moon
white album is in crappin, let it bleed is in grace, all things must pass is in are you experienced, kind of blue is in who's next and roger the engineer (? Yardbirds) is in marquis moon
see fbp was really oot of it, and high and put all those alblums in the other ablums because of the rush to get to the island and she was oot of it

Ok, I'll give it a try, but under protest...
The Pixies - Surfer Rosa
Television - Marquee Moon
Can - Ege Bamyasi
The Fall - hex Induction hour
The Velvet Underground - The V.U. & Nico
Honourable mentions (that means I want to put them on the list, I'm cheating a bit):
The Grifters - Crappin you negative
Minutemen - Double Nickels on the dime
Pere Ubu - Modern Dance
Kraftwerk - Autobahn
The Go-Betweens - Spring Hill Fair
Uh, I am fighting the urge to add a shit load of other records to the list! Man, I didn't include anything by the Verlaines (Juvenilia or Bird-Dog) or the Clean (the merge anthology), or Devo (Are we not men?) or... Lists suck.
