Rachel Maddows comes on in 20 minutes. Let's hope for a Ana Marie Cox sighting.

Odd thing: when some third world country nationalizes a private industry, it's "socialism" (a dirty word in North America); when a capitalist country does it, well, it's in the national interest.

(I made him do the thumbs up thing in Chinatown, so don't be too hard on him.)

You told him to do it, and he did it, eh?  Whip

You got that right.

Awesome pics. How aboot some action photos.

wacka wacka wacka!

I promised Pogo! I wouldn't share those ones. Wink

Ok, so in JSG-and-Pogo!-suck-at-travelling-to-see-one-another news...  I didn't know this at the time of my last post, but, guess what? The bus to Buffalo broke down about a half hour outside of Toronto and they had to wait for an hour for a replacement... luckily he did have time to kill before his flight, so it wasn't a super-panic sitch about getting there. (Whew!) What he also had, though, was a bong he bought in Kensington yesterday... I had visions of him being strip-searched at US customs. (When I travelled through last time, every single suitcase was searched, but I guess they got off lucky.)

Then, after 12 hours of travel (just got a text that he's in Dallas airport), poor boy still can't go home because...the baggage carousel at DFW is broken. Jeez.

Good thing we both feel this is worth it, because our continued travel woes would try anyone's patience.
