I really am disappointed in how Kings of Leon have evolved. The first album I heard was kinda rough, tough, and cool. Part of the fun was trying to figure out what the singer was saying, and the other part was that they brought the rawk. Now the way they look, sound, and perform are just kinda blah. They were on SNL last night - which was also kinda blah.

Never really got into them.  I liked a few things in that first record, but it was all a bit too derivative, they sounded too much like an homage to southern rock.  I'm not familiar with their later stuff.

In other news, The fightin' TCU Horned Frogs have made it into the Nat'l rankings. Next Sat. they play OU who are currently ranked #1 or #2, depending on which poll you read. I don't know if the Horny Toads are good enough to beat them, but it's nice to have something to look forward to next Sat.

Ditto on the whole Kings of Leon thing.  They used to look like dudes you'd skip class with to get high.  Last night, singer dude looked like he'd just come back from his stylist.  They've no doubt taken some advice from the wrong people.  I kinda dug their throwback to 70's stoner rock, with a little southern-b00gie thrown in.  Now they just sound slick.  The songs were OK, just ball-less.

saw that too, they did look soulless or just going throught the motions, and they all looked like they had been to the stylist....matt ended up staying home from pukeface and his dad.

i have had the worst morning, brakes out on car yesterday, parked it at shop.   mommy had to pick me and lucas up this morning, take lucas to school and take me to work.  mommy has to pick me up to get lucas and take him to practice and take me to get my car...and im having female probs with no car at work, so had to walk to the drugstore and we are in the hood...not that im afraid but not real smart walking area.   So i appreciate my mommy picking me up and such but i feel like such a 

frustrating but im just gonna chill and wait for the damage $$$$ of my brakes and no use getting frustrated


didnt do much this weekend but football, football, laundry, watched into the wild again with matt, went to basketball tryouts, and read a little bit.  no music at all which is weird.  except on our horrid radio in my pre broken car.  i had no car yesterday at all which is hard when you live in a rural area

I dont know anything about them, but I saw SNL and thought they were beyond "kinda" blah.   Hit me like a bad Coldplay.   Interesting they used to be good.  Gotta investigate.
