Photos of flooding from near here. (We live at the west end of Schaumburg, a few hundred feet from Hoffman Estates and 1/4 mile from Streamwood. Hanover Park is 3 miles past that.)

Again,we're actually high and dry. This is what it's like all around us though. (Got these from here.

The first one shows the 7 lane road going to the interstate, 1/2 mile from our house.
The next one shows the Edens expressway.
The third one isn't here, but with so many of y'all having connections to Chicago, I thought you'd wanna see there.
The next one is Hanover Park, maybe 4 miles from my house.
The fifth one is firefighters helping people get out of the flooded parking garage at O'Hare. Several runways are giant ponds now.
The sixth one is a retention pond here in Schaumburg, 10-15 feet above its normal level. It was these ponds and the lake nearby at the forest preserve that kept us out of trouble at our house.
The last few are in Streamwood, less than a mile from our house, which took 8.52 inches of rain Saturday and Sunday. (Still counting, I think.)

Geese have taken over my neighborhood like gangs during a riot. Normally they mostly hang out around the local retention ponds and the lake in the forest preserve. But now that those have overwhelmed all of their adjacent land and are overflowing into the street, they like the flooded areas and (now formidably sized) ponds in our neighborhood.

THEY ARE EVERYWHERE.

my sister in laws family in houston is still in austin; their roof blew off, all windows, doors gone and all the fences in the neighborhoods blew either thru winows or doors, no proof of miles of fences from the neighborhood.  that was weird i guess; they have a neighbor that stays and he reported the damage.   crazy kevin they call him.   they still cannot come home; refinery is fine but still closed


i had a good weekend, watched into the wild, 2 disks of 6 of freaks and geeks; listened to a lot of vinyl and cds i havent listened too; went with my poster girl for late lunch/early dinner and got really blotto; back on the wagon, kim cannot have one ; luke scored another touchdown; caught a one handed pass; had 12 solo tackles; luke came home early sat. ; luke loved freaks and geeks, he likes sam the best, i think cuz he can relate to getting picked on.

oh and i just put up at least 30 posters in india no place and some fuck took down everyone of them.  i have spies watching now at all my places    isnt that gay, taking down someone's poster.  i know someone did because every place i put them they were down and another poster was in it's place and i think that guy did it but cant prove it.....petty fucking posters....get me outta here.

oh and 2 of the owners of my company have not had power since saturday
