Anybody watching the DNC? Not me. I know who they're going to nominate.
How'd Ted Kennedy look?

Glen Campbell is trying the Johnn Cash career comeback route, complete with covers of songs from "younger folk."
Here he is doing "Sadly Beautiful" by The Replacements.

Ted actually did really good. I thought the whole thing was pretty good considering it's just the first night. Michelle Obama's speech was a little practiced but still pretty moving I thought. I can't wait to see friggin Cindy McCain try to top it.
What killed me was IMMEDIATELY after it was over all the fucking jack-asses at CNN were like "yeah, the Dems just wasted a whole evening. they should've blahblahblah.." HEY FUCK-HEADS!!! TRY REPORTING THE NEWS!! They were complaining some of the speakers were too boring. Those speakers being normal Americans who were brought up to simply tell a little of their story and why they would vote for Obama. So apparently CNN doesn't approve of normal citizens.
The Dems did great.
Ted did great. Michelle did great. Michelle's big brother did great.
Nancy Pelosi..... ehhnnn..

I couldn't quite tell how Michelle did. I'm a little cynical and like inside-baseball viewing. So I saw some of the same "over rehearsed" thing that you saw, Tripp.
But an older woman that works in my department, who isn't a big political junkie and was a mild Clinton backer just came into my office. "oh my god, did you see Michelle Obama last night? I was tearing up!"
So I think she did what she was 'posed to do.

Didn't notice that, but I did notice he's got his shorts a lot lower than Spitz did. If he didn't shave, I'd bet there'd be a treasure trail in frame.

Matt brought this point up the other day and I can't agree more.
All this speculation about what the news should've been...or what the news will be tomorrow...is destroying the, uh, news.

Joe Biden, eh?
It pisses me off. They feel they need a secret Republican to balance the ticket.
