Bad Day at Black Rock indeed kicks ass.

The GbV-tries-to-become-arena-rockstars era records have their flaws, but songs like "Surgical Focus" and "The Enemy" sound fantastic at maximum volume. The Pollard/Gillard collab Speak Kindly of Your Volunteer Fire Department is less slickly produced, but the songs are still made for turning up.
