just returned from a week long road trip to Virginia and North Carolina. Visted my dad and brother in law. Took a nice side trip through Shenedoah and the skyline drive and Luray Caves...simply amazing!

So me and the missus have decided we might move to Raleigh. We loved it there. Never thought she'd want to leave the North east, but after visiting she does. We're trying to come up with a time frame of when we want to go...most likely after the school year...the big thing is going to be selling our place and finding jobs.

We're sick of NJ and the crazy price we pay for living here. We looked at a few homes in NC and the taxes were like 10 grand cheaper than what we pay now. it's crazy...

I love North Carolina.  Raleigh's pretty cool. Mainly because it's kinda close to a lot of different things.  Not too far from the beach, not too far from the mountains, not too far from Chapel Hill/Carrboro (lots of good rock shows), you can go up to Busch Gardens and ride roller coasters...

that's what we figured...3 hours to the beach...3 hours to the mountains...I got my nascar racing down in charolette...durham bulls baseball.

the area we looked at reminded us alot of where we live. Lot's of farms, rolling hills.

who are the hold steady?

Raleigh isn't as cool as Asheville but everyone is moving to Asheville.  It's the Portland, Ore  of NC.

Some good friends of ours recently moved to the hill country of NC, near the Georgia border. They live across the way from a witch doctor and they're growing all their own weed apparently.

I stole that one from a guy on another board. But you can also Google animated avatars and find some stuff that way.

Pat had a really really good link for avatars but I've forgotten what it was.

Let's do a new post ranking system. I'm tired of Andersons.

Ideas?
