I'm baby sitting my niece and we're having a pretty good morning.

We made a video of her dancing to "Backstabber."  She didn't get into it as much as she normally does...maybe a little selfconcious of the camera and not a big enough audience for her taste.  And I'm not sure I had the volume up loud enough on the music.

We'll see.  If if came out okay, I'll post it for y'all.

I truly enjoy "babies jamming to rock" videos.

ACK! I got bit by mosquitoes in the weirdest places yesterday: the palm (well, the heel) of my left hand, the top of one big toe, the temple, and the tip of my elbow. They are driving me fucking nuts.

Nah. There was a contest between towns named Springfield to host the premiere and Springfield, Oregon was a finalist. But Springfield, Vermont won. That was just to host the premiere, though.

Officially, Springfield isn't in any particular state, but some of the writers and directors say they've decided it's in the state of "North Takoma." And if you look, there are "NT" and "TA" abbreviations scattered around.

My niece is starting to develop the patience to watch movies, so I wanted to get her started on some Miyazaki.

I brought her over Kiki's Delivery Service a couple weeks ago and now she digs it out for me to play when I come over.

I play it in Japanese, so maybe she'll pick something up there.

Today I brought her My Neighbor Totoro.  We'll see how that goes over.

Mainly she's a Pixar kid, but I don't want her to get spoiled by too much CGI.

If she wants to watch Toy Story, she says "Story!"

If she wants to watch Finding Nemo, she says "Dory!" (the name of her favorite character)

So it's hard to tell the dif.
