ok.  batman was pretty good.   but one thing...


[spoiler]does she really die?   i have a hard time believing she's dead.  no body and all, and the explosion seemed to be behind her.  also,  are we to assume the joker is in police custody, or did he die hanging there? too many cliffhangers for me. i crave resolution. [/spoiler]

[spoiler]i say harvey "died" when he became twoface.  i don't remember if he was crushed. just that he fell from the building.  batman also fell, and survived.  so maybe twoface survived too.  the memorial ceremony was for harvey. [/spoiler]

[spoiler]I really felt like the movie sets up future confrontations between Joker and Batman...which ended up feeling kind of pointless given Ledger's death.

Rachel Dawes was strictly a movie character and never appeared in the comics, so I feel pretty confident she's really dead....but I did feel kinda weird about it essentially happening offscreen.

For all the talk about how intense the movie is supposed to be and not safe for kids, etc...the movie usually cuts away most of the time.[/spoiler]

That troubled me too.


I did not like that his face is burned by flame and not scarred acid as in the comic.

He just looked like he was going to get a really bad infection to me.  He was scary to look at I guess, but not a very formidable looking villain.  I doubt he could've even gotten out of bed.
