One more for now:

The new Grace Jones video!
(PS - Hope you like never sleeping again!)

Was that first part Vincent Price in drag? In drag and blackface?

Filmed on an iMac webcam?

How's your mom, Matt?

She's doing fine, I think. Some weariness and discomfort and some pain and some nausea and unpleasant feelings of organ loss, but she is more or less okay. knock on wood.

portion in your corner of the world too, instead of talking about important stuff...

Like how the organising committee went out of their way to turn the entire 400th anniversary celebration into  meaningless fluff catering to the lowest common denominator.

I am happy as long as they aren't using that $150,000,000 + on anything stupid like human development.

Quote
I mean, it's just a fucking anniversary... What really got my knickers twisted is how the federal gov. tried to rewrite history in order to suit their political views: Champlain (the French guy who founded Quebec city) became Canada's first governor, and Canada was founded in 1604, not 1867...  And the conquest never happened, and the Quebecois weren't second class citizens through most of their Canadian history, and we're all a big happy Canadian family.  And the provincial gov. went along with it.

Yep.

1500 stolen bikes in Toronto and counting.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/tit18nRnJaY" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/tit18nRnJaY</a>

The premises at 927 Queen St West (about 3 blocks from my house) has been operating as 'The Bicycle Clinic' by an individual named Igor Kenk. (He was busted recently when they found this lovely little storage space of his, and estimate he has a few others.) The owner has been arrested and charged with several bicycle theft related offences. What a prick.

Update: Today they found a fourth warehouse (there are different bike thieves involved, obviously). And somebody today claimed a bike from the police warehouse in the video above that was stolen eight years ago!!! This is insane.

Home Depot = Heavy supporter of the Republican Party and George W. Bush (and, of course, the sweat shops of China). Tom Ridge used to be on the board of directors.

This is Ft. Worth, Texas. Practically everyone here supports the republican party.

True dat. I tried to talk my father out of buying stuff for the bathroom renovations and well, the proximity of the place won out in the end. I kept picturing the money flowing into the coffers of the Republican PACs and...bleh.

I've seen a Heineken ad a few times with a really catchy song that I've always resisted, but it kinda got stuck in my brain tonight. I looked up the song and found out it's by Chris Fookin' Knox!
