Jeez, that was a lot like one of those goofy greeting cards.

I spent the weekend reading Primo Levi's Auschwitz memoirs. That shit is so funny!

Speaking of primo Levi's, Pat & Kim took the time to wash my jeans for me before they mailed 'em back.

You guys are awesome!

last night I went to bed then a few minutes later I hear a big WHUMP then the power goes out.

Turns out it was the tree in front of our house snapping in two and falling across the street, landing on our neighbor's car among other things.

Good thing the tree didn't fall on yr house!

Saturday night Christina and I went to this outdoor ballet performance in the park (pretty cool...they did dances to "Won't Get Fooled Again" and Waits' "Waltzing Mathilda").  During one of the dances, I hear this loud groaning and creeking.  I look over my shoulder and this big tree is cracking in half under its own weight.

Same thing happened last year during one of her concerts in the park...except the tree sort of fell on some people that time.

For some reason I'm really wound up today. I think I forgot to take my anti-wound-up-feeling pill last night.

Nevermind, they're all self-imposed. It's complicated.

I get to go experience Home Depot hell after I finish this cuppa coffee. Or maybe the next cuppa coffee. I think I'm also gonna see Wall-E today with my mom, sis and her chil'ren.
