for the record, i buy canned chili for my now famous "easy dip"- a perfect southern party recipe, which i obviously stole from someone else.
1 pkg cream cheese
1 can hormel chili (with beans)
shredded cheese (ladies choice)
smear cream cheese on the bottom of a pyrex dish. top with can of chili. sprinkle as much shredded cheese on top as you want. put in a 350 degree oven 'til the shredded cheese melts.
TA-DA!
it is the best appetizer to prepare mid-party while smoking a cig and drinking wine. it is my favorite! try a double recipe- it will be gone before you know it!!
