Speaking of (post-)Archers of Loaf, just saw a listing for Crooked Fingers opening for Okkervil River in October. I wonder if they've stopped being boring yet? I liked the first bunch of records (the S/T one, Bring on the Snakes, Reservoir Songs and Red Devil Dawn) plenty -- oh, who am I kidding, I was obsessed, 'specially after seeing them the first time, and having 'em crash here (lovely dudes) -- but that last record, Dignity & Shame was a yawnfest.
