so i talked to bob on friday.  for anyone who doesn't remember bob,   he's this guy...




anyway,  he couldn't stop gushing about the dragoon show/grifteroke.  said it was absolutely the most fun night he's had since he can remember (can't believe he can remember it, honestly)   he again wanted to reiterate his apologies for throwing beer everywhere, but blames it on the xanax he consumed before realizing how much he was gonna drink.  said he missed mudhoney cause he just couldn't make it out again, but didn't even feel bad about it cause saturday was so fun.  he also said he couldn't wait to see the video evidence of the event as well as proof of his drunkeness, which i assured him was on film somewhere................bamah?

and then on Sunday we stopped at a gas station and inside I found a keychain that had a little dude and a word bubble reading "I'm THAT guy!"

i think he was the one bumping into me the whole time pat was doing 'black fuel'. i think he got sassy with me at some point later, too? i can't remember- that whole set is a blur of beer and yelling in my head.

apparently, after he threw beer at you guys, he realized what a drunken fool he must've seemed, and was too embarrassed to apologize himself, so he got someone else to do it.  then, when he got the nerve to do it himself, he figured you would know what he was talking about when he said "i'm THAT guy!"  and that would be a clever way to apologize without actually apologizing and you would get it.  but i don't think you did and he ended up feeling even more like a schmuck.  hilarious.   also, bob is a pretty fucking damn good bass player himself,  and he was totally blown away by tripp's mastery of said instrument.  any mention of "get back on the bass" was surely meant as a compliment to the bass playing, not a knock on the guitar playing...
