If Obama actually chooses Powell, it would pretty much confirm everything Matt has been saying about him IMO.

Don't do it, Barry!

Just to clarify what I have said (because the comment above reminds me again that I am unsure of how anything I write is digested at the other end and that I am aware that I am far from the most able at diplomacy concerning subjects which render me emotional), and something that went un-addressed the other day: I do NOT believe that Barack Obama is a militant hawk with a plan to attack other nations or some neoconservative scheme to tear the world asunder. I DID say that I believed he SOUNDED LIKE a neoconservative when he delivered his foreign policy statements, but believe that he will be a return to the STATUS QUO in foreign affairs. The problem is that the status quo of US policy involves the most vile barbarity likely claims hundreds of thousands of lives each year.

And I would like to repeat that it is extremely unlikely that Powell would run at all, let alone with a Democrat.

Also, Powell should be distrusted because he ABUSED that trust which liberals still insist on extending to him. He helped sell that war to liberal elite and he helped mark the final days of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi lives. Children eviscerated by cluster bombs in front of their parents, elderly people sawed in half by shrapnel and on and on... please do not even begin to excuse this most despicable man.

I have lived as a bit of a social hermit for the last decade and I am not so talented at explaining myself as I am more of an observer than a participant in life and I suppose I am just getting such things worked out and it is such that I do not even know how to speak to people at work, so I apologize for any static.

Looking forward to meeting you, too, Mr. Brown. Everyone I've met on crappity so far has been awesers.

Really?  Even I?  Aw shucks, thanks!

Um, Dan, we haven't met yet.

Oh, sorry!  You're right.  I'm not awesers.

Sex & the City is kind of a Star Wars for girls.  It defined a generation.

Jaysus, if Sex & The City defines a generation, I don't wanna have anything to do with the generation it defines!   And I sure as fuck wouldn't want to date the generation it defines.

It certainly didn't define my generation. (I'd like to think I was already defined...by New Wave. haha!) But, it was a fun TV romp. That's all I'm gonna say aboot it: fun. (Not serious, not important, but entertaining.)

I didn't know (cuz I didn't watch last night), the Colbert Report was a repeat (at least on the affiliate here) from... last night. Weird.

Anyway, his coverage of the Hockey Night In Canada theme song being "lost" by CBC (because another network is going to broadcasting the hockey) and the big hoopla here surrounding same? Classic. (Eating a hot dog and waving a gun and American flag while the song played, in case you didn't see.)
