Unfortunately, if you are not voting republican, you're probably voting democrat... many of whom are guilty of similar shit.

that was my thinking in 2000.  i voted nader. no i don't think i cost gore the election.  i simply thought that it didn't make much difference who won, so i was voting to try and secure the greens equal funding in 2004. and hopefully have a genuine third option. the last 8 years have proven that it DOES make a difference.  i don't think anyone could successfully argue that a gore presidency would not have been remarkably better.  the media has chosen two candidates. i have taken sides.  is he a perfect candidate? fuck no.  but he's light years better than another 4-8 years of a republican who changes his positions when the wind blows.

I agree, up to a point.  Obama appears to be better then any repug, but the repugs are so drearily bad that it's not hard for Obama to seem like an improvement.  As I said before, I would vote for Obama, for lack of a better alternative.
