Has anybody else tried Jaman.com? It's an online movie rental store that specializes in indie/foreign fare. You use their player to download movies ($1.99 to watch, $4.99 to keep). The first two are free. Some good stuff and the player works fine. Continuing my ongoing gypsy/whatever music kick, I am watching the doc on Eugene Hutz from Gogol Bordello. He takes a trip through Eastern Europe in search of gypsy music. It's pretty good. He comes across as pretty genuine.

so you all ever hear of this movie,

C'était un rendez-vous

i'm reading this book "The Driver" and the author mentions it...

man...it's like 9 mintues of some guy driving insanely through paris...it says there's no special effects...

i can't get the link because my work computer is blocking it...but know it's out there since i watched it the other day.

I've talked about that movie, like, half a dozen times on here.

Nobody ever listens to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(runs out of room crying)

i'm sorry...did you mention by using saying it was a french film...cause i avoid stuff like that...i'm too dumb.

but if you said it was a french movie about a guy driving a car super insanely suicidally through paris i would jumped on that like a dog in heat.

In honor of Bo Diddley, I post this work from great admirers of his:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/tfuXJL6JTIU" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/tfuXJL6JTIU</a>

The Gories were one garage rock band that did a little more than drop his name in interviews with Dutch 'zines; you can hear the influence. .

Also, they recorded this.

Hey, I'm not into the Celtics. I just thought Garnett looked really monster-like in that photo.

I have been reading about the imminent demise of the Cavendish for years now.

I was thinking the same thing.

Mention of "Free Bird" always makes me think of Bill Hicks laying waste to hecklers/himself in Chicago c.1989

Speaking of hits...I am now tiding my room and rounding up the laundry while listening to that Muses boot (thank again) and...does anyone else wince when the opening of an artist's most popular song begins and is greeted by woos of acknowledgment? Sure, people like to here songs they now or songs they like, but you do know that for some there is a rush to be the first to identify the song.

That and yelling during quiet parts of longer songs. I hate going to shows.  Rain Cloud

I don't think that's a "get laid set" for him, either. but awesome nonetheless.

I've had a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong day. Started at 5:15am for first day of bootcamp -- and luckily got to climb stairs everywhere I went on top of that (work, subway parking garage for post work "event," and stairs in the movie theater  -- for client screening -- and bar for post-screening party). Yay!

Did y'all know you have muscles in your legs, too? I know. Weird, right?

Drinks after at the post-whatever party? So doesn't help with the pain relief. Tomorrow, I do not wear heels.

I prolly just said something like it's the best 9-minute movie EVER and you would love it, and there's a cute/romantic payoff at the end, but 'tev.
