My cousin's show was sold out, but the fun my sister and I had across the street watching her friend play music at this art house (which was apparently showcasing l some festival. Good stuff. We lay down on bean bag chairs and put on headphones and tripped out...was veeeeeeeeryyyy relaxing.

We did manage to bump into my cousin, whom neither of us had seen in ages. Even that time and distance did not explain the peculiar way he behaved. I couldn't rationalize it, but my sister assumed he might have been into the shellfish.

Oh, just prior to stumbling into him I managed to totally fuck up some sort of survey that the Mutek Festival people were walking around with. First: I cannot explain why I offer myself for these things as invariably they do not apply to me, but some part of me is simply curious.

Right off the bat I mangled a response and she began to ask me questions as if I had answered the first question "I am NOT from Montreal". I realized she had already begun to fill out the form and I felt bad and decided to just run with it. She asked me if I was there for just the music festival or what and how long I was in town...after a long pause I simply said "Douze jours" (twelve days) and then agreed that I would again visit Montreal to come see Mutek next year and...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, yeah.

I really just bumble my way through life.

Did you mean to just quote that?

I believe I fixed it for him.

(next tutorial: how not to post your response in the middle of what you are quoting)

thanks for fixing that.  i only do that when the quote is really long.  i just don't scroll down.  not used to having to i guess.  so nobody got to hear my joke until after the moment was gone.

Speaking of cousins, I have to go to my cousin's 50th birthday party. Should be pretty awkward since he lives 30 min. from my house, and I've seen him maybe 3 times in the last 10 years.

what's up moe.  got off work awhile ago.  opted to not go out and get drunk.  rather save my money and stay home and get drunk.  i'm off tomorrow.  it's the first day in weeks that i'm off.  between the museum, jackson's, and sluggo's, they don't come easy.

You are either a workaholic or a glutton for punishment. I could never do that much working.

The wife decided to do a backflip off the wagon. Then, around midnight, some conch peddlar ended up at our door. Of course now she's crashed out and I'm all lit up.

All I wanted was a restful weekend before my last week of school. (sigh)

I took a few 'go to sleep' pills, but they're not doing anything. I finished the Gentleman Jack, and now I've started drinking beer. I guess I'm dancing with myself.
