I know you're gonna be jealous...
How's this for a Friday story:

I'm getting ready to go to work, and I know that my boss is going to be fired this morning.

i did feel jealous. because i thought you said your boss was going to be "fried" this morning and i imagined you were working for moe as a t.a. (toking assistant).

Well, I guess the best place for drugs is on the brain, Kid.

so Howard stern this morning denounced Bush, who he once supported. Now he says he must be defeated.

It's amazing who people will vote for in order to get a tax break.

Quote
In addition he also played these tapes of mel gibson's father ranting on about how the holocaust was mostly fiction and how the Jews make holocaust museums to make money. Guy is a real nut.

Why is the media giving this no attention?

I think they've given it too much attention as it is.  Not to excuse his actions, but dude is mentally ill.  Just because he's Mel Gibson's dad doesn't make it newsworthy.

I think Mel's dad is a newsworthy interview.
It's clear that MG shares many of his father's views (remember the NY Times Magazine article last year?). If you're covering the biggest religious movie of all time (beating The Ten Commandments and Ben Hur over the weekend, by all estimates), you might wanna have a clear handle on where the director is coming from.

It's not just art. It's dogma and propaganda.

Got no problem with that, btw. I just wish he'd fess up.

I remember a fair amount of press about Mel's homophobia in Braveheart...

Is there blatant homophobia in TPOTC?

It seems pretty homoerotic to me...

re: Braveheart-Yeah, I know...but nowhere near the level of this constant barrage (the film isn't even getting GOOD press-like Braveheart-and the press won't fucking shut up about the anti-Semitism issue...Chistianity is pretty fucking anti-Semetic and they ain't arguing that fact.).

To me, it's just another bloated pseudo-epic oscar-baiting pile of shit.

I haven't seen it and do not plan to. I detest Mel Gibson and his films...haven't enjoyed one. No, not even Mad Max.
