I should tell you, I have been trying to get a weekend show for July. No one is getting back to me yet. It seems to be as I feared: we don't have any pull around here yet to get anything but an off night opening slot. But I'm still trying. I will indeed bring Dragoon to the Austins in the near distant.

I don't think you could have ever ripped them off and had people perceive it that way. Their stuff is so much more, how can I say it?...soul-less? Not in a bad way, hmm, this is hard to communicate...Polvo was like a fish with goggles and you guys were like a kick ass big brown couch. That's about right.

I appreciate  your effort.  Don't kill yourself or anything.  I've been throwing many irons into the fire.  I'm actually of the mind recently that touring is not such a great idea considering gas prices...

no, I know what you mean. Slint was kind of that way but I dug a lot of SLint. Really, I was way into that band Bastro.  I can't find that anywhere anymore.
but I definitely had my math side. I think bands like Polvo didn't rely on hooks so much so the songs tend to blur together.  they're all good but I have a hard time remembering any of them.

Which is why I loved jesus Lizard (and ripped THEM off so much)  /... they were ALL hooks.
