the other interesting thing is that OVER 27% of republicans voted AGAINST mccain.  to people who have dropped out of the race.  who's electability is in question now?

when i saw elvis in new orleans a few years ago, (and andre williams the same night immediately after at the club across the street)BTL was playing in tallahassee the next day.  so k__ and i drove straight from n.o. to tally.  when i told dave we had seen elvis the night before, he said they were opening for him at memphis in may a couple weeks later or something.

I'd never heard they opened up for him. But what do I know?
at the time, i kinda figured "opening" merely meant playing on the same stage/same day, prior to.  in which about 10 bands could make the same claim at something like memphis in may.  i just wondered if bamah could clarify.

that's exactly what happened. BTL played, like, 6 hours before elvis costello did.    Roll Eyes

the Kid and i saw that BTL show after having about 4 hours of sleep on chad's couches after drinking straight tequila all night. now that wasn't the most fun i've ever had at a show.

luckily we were able to rest up/devomitize while the other ""opening" "acts"" were playing.

55% to 45%: a larger margin than expected, but no resounding victory.  She can't win.  He can't finish her off.  Here we go again.  This is going to go right up to the convention.   mr. disappointment

biggest lie of the day.  with over 99% reporting, her lead is only 8.6 %.  yet EVERY MEDIA OUTLET is reporting 10 %.  why?  because that was the line drawn in the sand.  "she has to win by double digits."  "if she doesn't win by 10%, blah blah blah"   and SHE DIDN'T!  period.  i can't believe  no one has called this yet.  it's so obvious that the mainstream media just wants this to go on forever.

Gee, I didn't see that!  Double digits my ass.

I was on tour at the same time as him and had a bunch of his cd's with me.

This riff holds a special place in my heart because I was able to figure out how to play it on my own...which is a real rarity with my lack of skillz.
