Not only was it a cool band name, but that 7" is a hidden gem of wax. I have always associated it with "You Be The Stranger", also one of my favourite Griftertunes.

i agree that total strangers is a perfect band name.   (i was unawares of the other meaning, until i just went to urban dictionary to get the definition of "stranger" and "total stranger" was one of the variants.  what would be the point of that?)

you are correct sir.  numbness is caused by a lack of blood flow, something necessary to create an erection worthy of stroking.  therefore the "total stranger" (or the "reverse stranger" for that matter), as described by the urban dictionary, is not likely to have ever occurred. the regular ol stranger, though. hoo man, that shit really works. just like they say.  feels just like someone else. i'm tellin you.  it's like a stranger from the universe.  a phantom stranger from the universe.
