of all of the outreach projects that i do (PACE, Sacred Heart Children's Hospital, low-income elementary schools, etc.) PACE is probably the most rewarding.

oh my god. there is a little cafe up the street. used to be called breaktime espresso cafe (now baba cafe as it was recently bought by a guy named john ma, who is a fairly well known sushi chef in town, and a guy i know pretty well. - reluctant to call him "friend", but we always spoke when we saw each other) i regularly stop into baba on my way to work for my soy chai latte and a bagel/muffin/etc. almost went there this morning, but was running late. had i gone, i would've been in for a shock, as about 9:00 am (about the time i would've been there) john blew his brains out in front of his fiancee, his employees, and their customers. the whole street (2 blocks from the museum) is blocked off right now. cops everywhere.
so send some pma's to his friends and family.
