Didn't watch and don't care.

I found In the line of Duty 4 at the neighborhood blockbuster - an action-packed police story directed by our good friend, Yuen Woo Ping.

I watched a similar movie...but it was more to satisfy one of my fetishes...In the line of Doodie.

I watched most of the grammys...i dig that outkast tune...actually i just heard it for the first time last month and loved it. Anybody have that CD, worth getting? Something i can listen to with the kids?

I had my first Chimay Friday night. Enjoyed it. It just felt weird buying a "40oz" for 8 bucks.

although i am normally opposed to buying CDs from the big box market killers, if you go to best buy for their super grammy blowout sale i believe you can get the latest outkast double disc for a criminally low $13.99 (US).  and you can listen to it with your kids, so long as you don't mind them wanting to be superfreaks when they grow up.  if they grow up.

don't worry moe, andre3000 and his dancing ladies have made the future safe for music for another millenium.  you can go back to sucking on hong kong's teat now.

I watched the Grammys. Most of it anyway. Worst soundman ever.  They actually made me feel sorry for Celine Dion. She got out there and started singing and all you could hear was someone from the control booth telling someone else to gte up there and give her another mike. The sound was a mess. And a lot of the camera work sucked as well. They had a real great moment when a buttload of people got onstage with Parliament and the camera just kinda stayed on these two guys who looked like they didn't know the words and I'm like "WHERE"S BOOTSY?!@?!"
It was good to see Prince though. Dontcha just love Prince? He's an awesome guitarist. He loves beautiful girls. He's never molested any children.

Deja vu

This morning, Sara was still having her Sunday night party as I was leaving for work. On the other hand, I was well behaved all weekend and feel very healthy for a Monday morning.

and the grammy for Daddy, er, Diddy of the Year goes to:
Quote
And P. Diddy, who performed at the Super Bowl halftime show, said: "I have three sons. I don't mind. I'm very happy for them that they were able to see one of Janet Jackson's breasts in their lifetime. I don't think they'll be scarred for life." He added that if he had known of Ms. Jackson's plans, he "would have exposed America to something that you still would have been talking about."

and what would that be?  hmmm.

i lifted that from today's NYTimes article aboot last night's show, by the way.

I felt the same for celine. But she handled it well. I wonder how Britney spears would of handled it. Oh wait she wouldn't have to, since she doesn't actually sing. But you musicians...what's with the earpiece? she whipped that thing out of her ear...the thing was huge!

Bootsy was up there...and how about that Richard Marx..

and wasn't it in the old days one person would get a lifetime achievement award...now it seemed every award there was lifetieme achievement award.

Oh and Justin, yes it was a hard week for all of us...

that isn't waxy buildup, brainfiber.  most all of the stars of the stage have customized in-ear monitors made these days so they don't have to rely on the big black wedges on the floor to let them know what they sound like in comparison to the other musicians onstage (or the prerecorded music being played for them to lip-synch and/or dance to).

here's a baffling paragraph from NYT:
Quote
And the rock star of the moment seems to be Jack White of the White Stripes, which delivered one of the most electrifying rock performances in recent Grammy memory. Mr. White received two awards, his first Grammys

so i guess Meg didn't get a Grammy?  only Jack?  hmmmm.  maybe he should go solo now and just be a singular Stripe.

yeah, I would've loved to hear Celine's diva rant backstage after her performance. I bet there was a lot of cussing in french.

White Stripes rocked it. uh-oh, I complimented them. Their career is now doomed.

I was cracking up about Justin Timberlake's mom. This guy is living the dream. Multi-millionaire at 22. Houses. Cars. Women. And his skanky-ass mom is in tow at the Grammys. "Justin! I wanna meet Steven Tyler!"

And how about when they asked Steven Tyler and Joe Perry about their inspiration for their upcoming 'roots' record. They shifted about nervously and said everything except 'oh, we saw the Porch Ghouls doing it, so...'

that would be hilarious to hear tyler and perry say something like "Yeah, we just wanted to pay tribute to the white boys who inspired us to play the lowdown dirty blues."

speaking of ghouls, where in the hell has slim sticky been hiding lately?

"The intriguing middle section of "South Side of the Sky" might've blown up like a laser light show had they recorded it in the late 70s"

One of my all-time favorite Yes songs. (off of Fragile)

People don't give the album Drama enough credit. Thats got some great songs on it. AND the Buggles!

Fragile is the only album by Yes you should own.
If you cared for such things.

I bought the Walkmen's new album this weekend.
Sounds good.
